i drove home this morning and noticed the lack of traffic in places and remembered it was a national holiday [but they don't carry that feeling that makes you want to remember what day it is] and as nine thirty became ten i saw the spaces in between the cars get smaller and i hoped nick made his plane to indiana. the afternoon is now in full swing so for some reason i'll assume he made it.

i'm supposed to be putting on clothes and taking my dad to buy firecrackers of doom because you see it is just a normal day for me.

i really think there's something wrong with my ears. i tried to call angie but her cellphone is a different number now.

maybe spiders laid eggs in my ears. i liked the show. there was brilliance. and a small audience. i watched children play with sparklers and scream and laugh and chase each other. i took a lot of pictures, or tried to anyway, and i haven't seen them yet but i imagine they will look like little fireflys. or the best i can imagine a firefly would look like as i've never actually seen one.
