today i made my first employee purchase-- a pair of sony headphones that fit over my ears-- to go with the fifty dollars i spent at park ave yesterday.

1. yo la tengo - the sounds of science [the only new cd i bought, everything else was used. instrumental underwater glubglub swim fishy]
2. sonic youth - a thousand leaves [because how could i have enough sonic youth albums-- the count is now three.]
3. starflyer 59 - easy come easy go [double album. 10.88. yay starflyer.]
4. the raveonettes - whip it on [recorded in glorious b flat minor!]
5. william s burroughs - dead city radio [i heard a track on 88.5 the other night and somehow automatically knew it was him. it was great and 4.88 so now it is mine.]
6. a beautiful mistake - ep [because i needed to get something i'd never heard before. i picked up a couple cds based on looks alone and listened to a few seconds of each... totally disappointed. didn't really listen to too much of this one though, bought it soley because of the better than ezra song of the same title (no, not really valid reason). but it is decent. the music is of the variety that is quite common these days. but i like the sound of it. good blind pick.]

i think that is all of them. those are my christmas presents to myself. i still have to get my dad something. and matt. and one more thing for elise. and gotta do something for my mom. and finish packing and blah blah blah.

fuck. i wasn't hungry before, but of course, now-- ten minutes before my break is over-- i start to get hungry. vile appetite, i denounce you.
