waiting for nine am

i think i'm going to try to go to sleep early tonight. like, ten o clock early. that would be pleasant. watch a movie, fall asleep, wake up whenif nick calls (cause i can't live without that, yknow).

i'm just counting down minutes until barnes and noble opens. i want coffee (caramel macchiato.. not exactly coffee) and a bagel. mmm.

to pass the time, something from that black notebook (that is most certainly not a yearbook) i've been carrying around. from saturday, i believe:

A mother and her son going from booth to booth. "Aw Mom, all you ever wanna do is spend money on clothes!" There passes the 'mysterious' individual traipsing around in a black hooded cape.. and ten and a half steps behind him follow the two girls [careful don't lose him]. "Let's just catch him and ask him.." as they walk by. They have probably been following him all day-- if they're doing it right. Catching eye contact from behind the next booth over, quickly looking away as if it were natural. And it is. Instinctual, cause this is how we hunt. And I watched as he slipped in between people till he got to his destination and the girls caught up. His back was turned and they stood still. PRobably going over their plan.. "Okay.. so I'll be like 'hi!'.. and then you'll be like... 'hi!'" ...And I remember that--the moment of hesitation with great excitement and anticipation. Will he brush you off without a second glance? Just two little girls with big hearts and open eyes-- or has he known you were following him all along? I held my breath for them as they went up to him. Saw him lift off his hood and he smiled at what they had said.
