i went swimming today. in a bathing suit at the beach. under the sun, which decided to hide under some big bottomed clouds as soon as i was comfortable in the water. it was cold, so i sang songs to the sun about the crests of the waves on the very edge of the gulf of mexico. it was a lovely song, though it was lacking in structure. the sun came out for awhile after i decided to lay on the towel and read, but it was too windy for reading, too much sand in my eyes. so i closed them and let it all soak in--the sun, the sand, the water, the wind.
