i am sad that i filled up my memory card between chicago and nashville, pulled out my laptop to unload the pictures just as motorcycle diary girl pulled up right next to us. i could have touched her. we were stuck in traffic and by the time i was able to get the card back in the camera she had already weaved herself well down the hill.

tennessee is gorgeous. i could fill up the card again just with pictures of the rockwalls but instead, i am delighted by this fancy technology that allows this computer to connect to the internet even though we are mobile. although i do wish i had something more solid between the aircard and my ovaries.

we are hoping to get to the other side of atlanta before we are forced to stop driving. rather, before my mother has to stop driving, why i am not driving will be explained later as i have many things to talk about but too many things to do right now, but if you know me at all i'm sure you can guess close enough.

anyway, i have lots of things to talk about, but it's starting to get dusky here over tennessee, soon we drive that funny little piece into georgia, back into tennessee and then finally, georgia again. i have to look up some phone numbers and addresses in jacksonville so we can help my brother on to his post-imprisonment path.

i will say we have listened to lots of music i've been listening to recently.. except for one sonic youth and one fugazi, i think everything else is very new (to me at least). i made a bunch of cds and am leaving them all with my brother. i hope he likes it all. all of it.

our favorites in the car have been lily allen, flobots and wolfmother. but it's been quiet for awhile now.
