...
oh. myGOD.
so, i was all jealous because mark was going to see tori and there was no way in hell that i was going to have a chance to go. no way in hell. right?
he had a party saturday night, which sean and i both attended. i woke up the next morning at 7:11am feeling like there were elephants dancing the polka in my head and my tummy felt like i had been slipped a little agentorange & cheese pizza. basically put me out of commission for most of the day. sean was at work, but luckily i was entertained by the lovely dan&julia, who distracted me enough that i forgot to lay down the entry i was planning about how much ghastly pain was in.
sean came home. i slept. he played video games. i love him. :D
sometime between 4 and 5, the phone rang.
it was mark.
he wanted to talk to me.

"i just called to brag about going to see tori tonight."
oh, piss off.
"so, what are you doing tonight?"
dying.
"uhh, okay."
pain.
"mhm. well, do you want to hang out tonight?"
what are you talking about? you're going to the concert.
"well, do you want to hang out AT the concert?"
...what?
"apparently i have a sister who doesn't really want to go."

i don't remember what happened much after that. a lot of squealing and jumping around (which did wonders for the stomach, letmetellyou) on my part.

the concert was absofrickinlutely amazing. rufus wainwright, although sleep-inducing, was nice to hear. it reminded me of when i first heard him on that gap commercial and would profess my love for him as "the voice of god" to everyone i met. heh.
and tori. goooooodddddddddddd. that was the best part, i didn't even mention. sure. i got to see tori. it was a fucking miracle that i even WENT. but the real kicker, the thing that makes it so amazing...
mark had third row tickets.
THIRD FUCKING ROW.
in a place even smaller than ruth eckerd hall.
how absolaas;djfa;lsdjfa;ljdfasd. wonderful.
listening to the fans talking after the show and mark "oh. MYgod"-ing the whole way home, i realised that i was pretty fucking lucky in terms of setlisting.

*squish* i'm so.. content. :) that setlist is thanks to the lovely people at the dent forums because there's no way i would have remembered that.

it's definetly an experience that i won't be forgetting any time soon. it was unlike any other show that i've ever been to. you could hear everything so plainly- everyone sat, and had someone sneezed, you would have heard it. THAT is amazing to me. i love that.
eh.. i like to have my eardrums blown out too, though. :)

here are just a couple things i'd like not to forget:

once again, taken from the dent forum
After Rattlesnakes, Tori asked the crowd if anyone there worked as Mickey or the like (this is Orlando, remember). She then proceded to tell this hilarious (aren't they all?) story about one time in 94 when she was here and The Little Mermaid somehow made it backstage and was singing her Little Mermaid songs and wouldn't leave. Tori sang a short bit of Little Mermaid-ish "aa-aa-aah"ing as part of the story. The whole story was just TOO funny and she had the whole audience in stitches. She finished up the story with "anyway.. we love mermaids."
And probably the most wonderful moment of the night came during the opening bars of Time. After a few notes, she lined into her mike and said simply, "I really love it here."

okay, sara, that's enough.

now i must go find something else to do because i have been up since FOUR FUCKING THIRTY for some odd reason, and sean is still sleeping. growl. i want pancakes and a vanilla milkshake.
