well.

once again, mtv has broadcasted what they call the "video music awards", but i think most of the awards (the ones that are televised) are undeserving. good songs, yes, but it's the VIDEO music awards. i think that idea has been lost a little. sure, mudvayne's video is nice and all i'm sure.. but the gorillaz video was up for the mtv2 award as well, and mudvayne won over that. that gorillaz video was awesome. but i'm not bitter.

i originally tried to sit in here, watch, and record all my thoughts, but pizza and roomate bonding drew me to the other room. so here are just a few quick notes (i love how i like to pretend i'm important)

nsync's performance was great alone. the fact that michael jackson came out.. i got chills. i was a little disappointed though, the scenario had much more potential, i think. but it is michael jackson, and he does seem a little bit like a beaten puppy dog.. a little afraid of everyone. heh. i heard his new song today. i like it. fuck you all.

all in all, i wasn't impressed a whole lot, but i certainly wasn't as disappointed as in the past couple years. maybe, just MAYBE mtv is starting to get it's head out of it's ass.
